Just get out there and ride! Don't need lycra or special shoes. A helmet is optional...your choice.

I am just a guy with a love of the bicycle and a firm believer it is a viable form of transportation. The bicycle is an amazing invention. It allows a small human to transport a large load over long distances easily. It is THE MOST ENERGY EFFICIENT FORM OF TRANSPORTATION...PERIOD!!!

HUH?

First time I saw this sign I did a double take. It is on a 5 lane road about as close to the middle of nowhere you can get along the eastern seaboard. Anybody want to hazard a guess? Solution will be posted later. ;-)

Um, yeah, no idea. But thanks for the link to shipping containers. I think your airstream's the way to go. I remember attending an airstream convention as a kid. Those are some nice machines.

It must be a potentially slipper road, surely ? The signs for a slippery road in the UK (for cars) are drawn in such a way that it looks like a skid has swapped the front and back wheels.

Over here they grit and de-ice cycle paths in winter.

Danger: snakes will attack tyres!

Come on...tell us what it is!

I agree with the snake attack comment.

I saw that one for the first time myself. It was on a group ride. We were on a MUP and I wasn't sure what it meant but had the presence of mind to look at the path to try to figure it out, and it was a good thing! The sign was at the beginning of a down-slope and at the bottom, mud had washed over the pavement due to recent rains. If I hadn't looked down, I think I would have had a very slippery, muddy mishap.
